Our MARENAL COMMUNITY is made up of freedom-loving and peaceful individuals and their families that want to live a life of independence in a healthy and safe environment. To provide such an environment MARENAL has been organized as a Gated Agricultural Community (GAC).
The property is divided into 47 Lots, of which there are 39 (thirty-nine) Residential Lots, 3 (three) Community Lots and 5 (five) Commercial Lots. All properties are currently owned by Marenal FGK S.A. (MFGK), of which Franz X. Meier is the sole shareholder. He is a full-time resident of Marenal.
Each purchaser of a residential property will become a Member of our Residential Community Association (RCA), which is managed by our Operating Company GLP S.A. (GLP). As part of the purchase the member will own 1/39th of the three community lots. Only the owners of the 39 residential lots have voting rights.
Our common-sense Guidelines, Rules and Regulations (GRR) are intended to create a harmonious and safe environment for the Community. These GRR are deliberately brief and simple, because we believe that our Association members are practical and reasonable people, who do not need any voluminous legal documents to enjoy a life of Liberty and Pura Vida.
We hope that the GRR shall prevent unreasonable interference with the use and enjoyment of the properties of the Association Members, the common elements, and any existing or planned common facilities.
Should conflicts arise, the GRR also provides a method of resolving any differences that may arise between the property owners, their friends or guests, and the management of Marenal.
In conformity with our philosophy, we intend to operate the Community by Consensus and will apply Restorative Justice to correct any harm done to our members by another member, employees of GLP, or any person rightfully on the property.
