Christmas 2020
Dear friends,
2020 has been a crazy year. I have never seen anything like it in my lifetime. And it is not over yet. 2021 will continue to be a challenge for many. So, what can one do about it? That depends on your perspective. Do you believe in collectivism and wait for instructions from the rulers, or are you an individual who relies on independent judgment and on your ingenuity to find solutions to this dilemma?.
In this period of uncertainty and volatility, we at Marenal have decided to pin our future on self-reliance and resilience. By relying on the versatility of our land we can create homesteads that provide the nourishment and the energy for individual and independent living for a very limited number of community members and homeowners. As always, we will strive to be truthful and resilient in our efforts and to be tolerant towards our friends and partners. Tolerant by accepting everyone’s opinion and their capacity to grow and thrive in a difficult environment, and resilient in our ability to adjust to new challenges.
We are thankful for all the good things (yes, there were some) that happened this year and the lessons we learned from this pandemic. May the new year be filled with good health, freedom, and compassion for everyone.
