Marenal is a secure and gated community, just a few miles away from the town of Nuevo Arenal, aproximately100 meters above the surface of Lake Arenal.
We are equipped with underground fiber optics for high-speed internet, access to fresh well water, and well-maintained gravel roads within the property. Marenal features a rich and varied terrain replete with walking paths, fish ponds, and vibrant flora and fauna. The fertile land supports a range of farm animals from sheep to chickens.

Marenal is centrally situated on the northern shore of the lake, overlooking the town of Nuevo Arenal. It is a part of Barrio San Antonio, just two kilometers from Nuevo Arenal on National Road 143, the main road to San Rafael de Guatuso on the other side of the Tilaran Cordillera.

Marenal is just a one and one half hour drive from the Liberia (Manuel Oduber) International Airport. Many of the Guanacaste Pacific beaches can be reached within two hours from Marenal.

In this evergreen area, our temperatures rarely fall at night below 19 degrees Celsius (66 F) or exceed 29 C (83 F) during the day. While we have moderate rainfall year-round and sometimes experience heavier precipitation during our rainy season, we don't have extended dry spells with high heat and dusty conditions, like the coastal regions. Moderated by the higher elevation, the climate provides refreshing breezes and comfortable temperatures year-round.
